American Idol 8 Results

So how does Paula Abdul feel about the new American Idol female judge, Kara DioGuardi on American Idol? Is she jealous that the spotlight is no longer on her alone as the only female judge alongside Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson?

Apparently not, but I guess Paula Abdul is sure as hell not going to say she hates the idea altogether now is she?

Says Paula,“This is gonna be a good thing. I’m really thrilled! For me, I’m excited as can be. I think this time around, it’s gonna work adding a new judge. A lot of surprises are in store that are gonna make it more exciting to watch the show.”

Seem Kara DioGuardi has been friends with all the judges for awhile now, having worked on songs with several American Idol finalists, so she is no stranger at all.

“I’ve been talking about her for years,” says Paula, “I hope the audience gets excited and accepts it. Sometimes its been hard when we’ve had four judges in the past. They always wanted four judges since the beginning. It’ll be good to have two girls, and two guys. Kara’s like a sister to me,” finished Paula Abdul.

Paula Abdul won't be the lone female judge on American Idol Season 8 anymore. Kara DioGuardi, a songwriter and producer has been named as the new judge who will join veterans Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson on the upcoming American Idol Season 8.

Kara DioGuardi is friends with all 3 judges and has written and produced some songs for American Idol finalists, so she is not a total stranger. She and Paula Abdul worked on producing the smash hit Spinning Around by Kylie Minogue and have been friends for years.

But keep your eyes peeled, if I were the producer of American Idol, I would definitely play up the rivalry card and even choreograph some bitching scenes among the two female judges just to get more viewership!

Auditions for the eighth season of AMERICAN IDOL end Tuesday, August 19, at IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ.

WHO: Men and women 16-28 years old as of July 15th, 2008, who are eligible to work in the U.S. Some restrictions apply — please read the rules for specific information.

WHEN: Tuesday, August 19th

HOW: Wristbands will be distributed from approximately 8:00 AM on Sunday, August 17 until 8:00 AM on Tuesday, August 19. Auditioners will not be permitted to camp out; therefore, once they obtain their wristbands, they will be asked to return to the Izod Center on Tuesday, August 19.

REGISTRATION DAYS: AUGUST 17-18, 2008

All you people in Florida listen up! Get down to the American Idol Season 8 Auditions in Jacksonville. If you're saying, "hell, I don't wanna stand in line for hours in foul weather", well, you DON"T HAVE TO.

You simply pick up your wristband and come back on the actual day of the audition. Cool huh? So here are the details:
