All you people in Florida listen up! Get down to the American Idol Season 8 Auditions in Jacksonville. If you're saying, "hell, I don't wanna stand in line for hours in foul weather", well, you DON"T HAVE TO.
You simply pick up your wristband and come back on the actual day of the audition. Cool huh? So here are the details:
Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena

Auditions for the eighth season of AMERICAN IDOL continue Wednesday, August 13, at Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL.
WHO: Men and women 16-28 years old as of July 15, 2008, who are eligible to work in the U.S. Some restrictions apply — please read the rules for specific information.

Jacksonville, FL 32202
WHEN: Wednesday, August 13
HOW: Wristbands will be distributed from approximately 8:00 AM on Monday, August 11 until 8:00 AM on Wednesday, August 13. Auditioners will not be permitted to camp out; therefore, once they obtain their wristbands, they will be asked to return to the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena on Wednesday, August 13.
REGISTRATION DAYS: AUGUST 11-12, 2008
Front Of the Line: Main arena entry doors off of A. Philip Randolph Blvd.
Parking: Parking on all surface lots will cost $5.00. There will be no in & out privileges. American Idol is not responsible for any parking rates or rules.
